COMMISSION FORM

Thank you for your interest! I am so excited to start working with you. I am open to pushing the boundaries of my usual creations, but if the concept deviates too much from my personal work and style, I reserve the right to deny your commission request. Thank you for understanding.

FOR ALTERATIONS/TAILORING WORK: please e-mail me directly at kakitakebayashi@gmail.com until I get an alterations/tailoring form completed. At this time, I am not doing in-person for fittings regarding alterations work. The only alterations projects I will be taking on are mending / hemming, given that you are able to mark the length before giving me the garment. Thank you!

TURNAROUND TIME: Usually, turnaround time is three to four weeks, but this may vary based on my current workload and the complexity of your commission. Feel free to contact me for current wait times or an estimate based on your needs.

SIZING: I have a standard sizing chart in place, which can be viewed here. If you wish to create a pattern that fits your specific body sizing, there will be a patterning fee. Price will be dependent on what garments will need to be re-patterned, and quotes will be given when the garments are determined.

PRICING: Commission costs will vary depending on the product and complexity. Please refer to the base pricing guide below.

PAYMENT: I am more than happy to accept payment plans. If needed, payment plans will work as follows:

Payment Plan Timeline: 1 month
50% up front = Materials, designs, and patterns acquired, finalized and prepped.
75% after two weeks = Dyeing fabrics (if required), prep-sewing components.
100% after four weeks = Sewing, final photos, and shipment..

REFUNDS & FAILED PAYMENTS: Refunds can only be accepted before the dyeing and prep-sewing stages, however, 25% of the project price will be kept as a non-refundable deposit. I will not accept future orders from commissioners who fail to make payments within the timeline period.

FABRIC: I primarily work with duck cotton. If you wish to use a different fabric, please let me know in the commission form. Please be aware costs may vary depending on your choice of fabric.

COMMISSION PROCESS: Your form will get sent to my email inbox. I will try my best to respond within 1-4 days. We will discuss your ideas, different design options, the need for a payment plan, etc., and once we settle on all the details, I will send a final design to be approved, which will include final price, turnaround time, and invoice. This is the latest I am able to accept refunds. Once the commission is paid in full, I will begin sewing your order. When complete, I will e-mail you several photos for a final approval. After final approval, I will ship your product and provide tracking info.







BASE PRICING

Base prices are the garment at its least-involved state (solid un-bleached fabrics, no additional design elements beyond base pattern, no enclosures outside of base pattern, etc.) Additional bleaching, different enclosures, and additional design elements will increase the pricing. The price will be determined upon the final draft.
